bobh
http://cgi.ebay.com/Replica-1914-russia-50...id=p3286.c0.m14 That picture of the edge gives it away. There seems to be a faint line which was polished and/or filed away running along the edge. Very scary piece! However, it is good to know that the edge lettering on these pieces is very poor. At least we will have some way to tell if they remove the "replica" stamp in the future.

ariba
What do you guys think about this one from the same seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=260304676349? Look at the 2 bottom pictures. No replica stamp. And the portrait is correct this time. Very scary.
NumisMattic2200
It looks like someone had a good try at removing the letters of 'replica' as they look half filed-down Apart from that, don't you think the coin just looks too 'perfect' anyway????
