This same piece was sold by a seller on eBay in 2007; that seller is known to sell fakes and has been discussed on this forum. It looks fishy to me. A genuine example of this coin in such condition (in a real auction) could reasonably be expected to bring far more than the $3,500.00 realized for this piece. If this one is genuine, then one can only wonder why the seller was willing to let it go on ebay for a sum so far below current market value.
