constanius
Help needed - medieval coin identification: If somebody have some information about this coin, I would be very gratefoul! Regards, Zl. Looks a bit like this one of the German states '1614 3 Kreuzer'. or this, has same 'IMPERIAL' legend Lübeck-Stadt Schilling 1668 Before the 'IMPERIAL' is 'TIS' the same ending on the last medal 'CIVITATIS'. Working out that yours reads Imperial Civitatis just found this: Google Book Swiss Medals I think the reverse on yours is the same, 'MON:NO:THVRICENSIS' you can see it better than me. It would appear to be Swiss Circa 16th century, hope this helps!!!
DCH
THVRICENSIS=Zurich, at 19mm it should be a Schilling. Probably KM#49 1639-1641
