ariba
Found this one in the next Goldberg auction: http://www.mkjassociates.com/cgi-bin/ilgvu...48&lot=2255 Will be interesting to see for how much it sells. This seems so wrong. And who is this International Numismatic Agency Ltd. anyway?

This seems so wrong. And who is this International Numismatic Agency Ltd. anyway? The INA Ltd. seems to me like a wanna-be Franklin Mint. Except that Franklin Mint produced similar fantasy coins in very high quality and in masses. There are people who still collect them just because of the designs and otherwise high quality. But certainly not because these coins would have any kind of numismatic value. Come on ... who believes that they are going to produce only ten of these? Even at $2,000 each, they would only make about half of that (subtracting the gold content), and I think it isn't such a good business for them to create dies, packaging, etc. for only $10,000. Perhaps it's more of a publicity stunt as opposed to a profit making venture?
