savok
I have a nice 1849 ruble that's in EF/AU condition, but it was turned by some distant family dumbass into a piece of jewelry. Mounts were put into the coin astride 12 o'clock and it was on a silver necklace. You can also see that the jeweler marked the 12 o'clock position with a file blade: http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb177/b...E_MOUNTS_LR.jpg ... it would have been such a nice coin if left alone, but then it would probably have circulated and gotten worn. Should I just accept it like it is?
sigistenz
How about wearing it yourself - at least on coin shows. It could lead poeple to offering you their Russian coin collection?
