savok
Look at this auction result - seems crazy... http://cgi.ebay.com/NICOLAS-1-COMMEMORATIV...id=p3286.c0.m14 Now I have the same coin, but mine has a bit of toning, some surface abrasions, plus some guy way back decided to draw an X to the right of Nicholas' bust. Perhaps a collector's mark??? The fields show what could have been (if the coin hadn't been in a jar for many years) a proof-like finish, but this was not a proof. Also, there are apparently two versions of this coin in silver, with differences to the neck. Can anyone tell me what those differences are? thanks! janneen
Yours has low relief which is the more common variety.
