Sometimes they used to get kept in individual metal capsule's to protect the coin and its lustre. RD stand for RED BN or ANACS BRN stands for brown and RB stands for RED BROWN I have seen many coins called RB which only have a hint of brown on them. It's quite hard to get an RD designation.
