Dave
Did anyone else catch the PBS show 'History Detectives' about the 6 dollar Continental currency and the Short Snorter? They did a nice little story about them both, telling the history behind the imagery of Continental and Early US currency. The Short Snorter was super cool because it had about 30 of the big wigs from WWII who had signed it - Eisenhower, Roosevelt, Churchill, etc - and it was verified as being authentic. If you haven't caught the show, perhaps it is available later on you can look it up on PBS.org at this site: http://www.pbs.org/opb/historydetectives/i...alcurrency.html http://www.pbs.org/opb/historydetectives/i...ortsnorter.html I also noticed a couple other shows dealing with currency there as well: http://www.pbs.org/opb/historydetectives/i...excurrency.html http://www.cwc.lsu.edu/cwc/BeyondFaceValue/index.htm
