corkykile
Hi, Thought you might like to see one of the coins that came in the mail today from my daughter in the midwest. I didn't even know this one exists. Looks like I need to go to a second page to get the reverse posted. corky

corkykile
Nice coin, corky! Is that your first commem? Yep, and totally by my daughter's choice. She has a small collection of odds and ends her grandfather willed to her (along with everything he owned). Apparently he got it from his wife when she passed, and it was her brother's collection. When my daughter's birth mother was quite young she found the coins and went candy shopping in San Francisco. I have another Commem from my mom.. a 1776/1976 Bicentennial silver dollar. It was a proof cameo but suffered a great deal when someone in the past removed the coin and played with it... no, not me... I think the two of these make a fair start on a collection. Thanks for checking it out. I like to share pics of special gift coins. corky
