organiccollector Posted June 24, 2008 Report Share Posted June 24, 2008 Can anyone suggest interesting looking copper coins that are not too difficult to find, priced $30 or less per coin? I am looking for larger coins, before 1960 and preferably earlier 20th century or before. The coins should be sized similar to Seated Liberties, Capped Bust Halves and Morgan Dollars (approximately 30.5mm-32.5mm-38mm). I've really liked the coins people have recommended to me in the past when I made inquiries about silver. Some of my favorite coins, to give you a sense: ~1905 Silver Sen, ~1935 Bolivar, ~1934 Balboa, 1798/1813 Isle of Man Penny, Capped Busts, 1890s British Crowns, 1937 Aus. Vfox Posted June 24, 2008 Report Share Posted June 24, 2008 Early GB large pennies can be found in high grade for under $30 and are around the size of a half dollar. The Australian version is also nice because of the kangaroo. The early coppers from Argentina are also nice, most of South Americas from the 1800's is really.
