Welcome to CP first off!

Secondly, where was this found? Something looks "off" to me, but I can't quite say for sure.

One this that does bother me is this coin would have been minted without a raised edge like your coin appears to have. But that could be caused by corroded copper flaking off after being cleaned, it is hard to say with the small photos.

Could you upload the images through www.tinypic.com and enlarge them for us?

At anyrate I'm sure someone will have an answer on here; colonials and GB coinage is just something that sidetracks my interests from US type coinage normally so I may not be the most useful for this, lol.

It has a look of being cast, in addition the letters are not correct on the reverse. Unfortunately as with many USA colonials there are many many cast replicas that have been produced since the 19th century, but more often since the 1950's.
