janneen
Hello everyone! I have bought these two coins, 10 and and kopeks 1861 (Paris mint). According to Bitkin there are two edge varieties: Edge with strokes and with dots (See also Uzdenikov). Here are pictures of the coins: 10 kopeks: http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view_enlarge.aspx?id=947260 10 and 20 kopeks (10 on the top): http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view_enlarge.aspx?id=947261 and http://www.omnicoin.com/coin_view_enlarge.aspx?id=947262 The reason I ask is edges seem like dotted but according to Bitkin this variety is rare (R and R2)... Have I found rarities or am I wrong? Have a nice summer! Janne
alexbq2
The 10 kopeeks looks kinda dotted but it is hard to tell from your pictures. Could you post closeups of the edge.
altyn
I have a similar uncertainty problem with my 20 kop 1861 Paris mint. Of course, it is most likely the common type but it would be very helpful (and educational) if someone could post an image showing the R3 type.
