gt1924
My mom purchases a charm braclet made of different coins while she was in Germany in the 60's. I am trying to find out what each coin is and there are 2 different Cyprus coins that are both dated 1955. One is a bronze color and the other is a gold color. They look exactly alike besides the color. Can anyone tell me if they are different coins or anything about them? (There are 2 of each coin on the bracelet.) Brett
The Cyprus 3 mils was made in Bronze. One could be just cleaner than the other. The darker coin could be tarnished, which could explain the variance in color.
gt1924
I didn't show both sides of the bracelet but the same thing on the other side and they do looked tarnished, weird. Thanks for your reply.
gxseries
You can get that same effect if you take that "dirty" looking coin and rub it off with brasso. That's the color that you get.
