Scottishmoney
1963 Dime that my credit union's teller noticed when it came across her counter in a deposit yesterday. I love having trained tellers at my beck and call.

Capt-AWACS
Another wheatie.. 1953-D cent in change at a supermarket gas station in far northern Houston suburb. Seems only wheaties lately but I'll take it.
Ætheling
I got an interesting 'error' coin (so to speak) a few months back. Sadly I can't post a photo these days because I don't have a camera. It's a UK 2p coin, copper plated steel. But the copper plating has flaked off of the obverse so the head of Lizzie is mostly bare steel, but there's copper plating around the legend areas. It almost looks like a bimetallic issue. There are no scraping marks, so I presume the plating just didn't take.
YeOldeCollector
I got a new (2009) penny that looks as if it's been coated by one of those school chemistry experiments, so it appears brass. Might as well keep it for the sake of a penny.

Art1.2
That's a great find. One of the nicest SBAs I've seen.
Capt-AWACS
Nice SBA. [vent] I have been having a dry spell lately [/venting off] Best I have done is a 1946 (P) US nickel last week that summarily went into a vending machine. ccg
Very nice. My last trip to the grocery netted me a trio of Arches quarters in my change. Still happy nonetheless to add a new parks quarter to my collection.

thedeadpoint
Wowza! I don't even have any of those that I purchased from a dealer, let alone found in circulation!

ccg
That would be a clipped planchet. A chopped quarter would be something very different indeed.
