tqc2002
I collect Russian 1 Rouble Commemorative Coins and I was wondering how many are there? not Proof and silver coins - only the copernickle one. I was told that this coin: http://worldcoingallery.com/countries/img11/hr/149-325.jpg is not like the others and since I have not found it until now (maybe in the future I will ) I think that it is true. this coin http://worldcoingallery.com/countries/img8/hr/149-135.jpg is the first of the series of Russian 1 Rouble Commemorative Coins and I'm not sure how many I need to collect? Where can I found a reliable source of all the Russian 1 Rouble Commemorative Coins that were structed from 1967 until 1992(3) - I don't know when they stopped producing the coins of 1 Rouble Commemorative. * about the 3 roubles - I have found only 3 coins, is that true? Please help me to sort things out Thanks TQ
gxseries
That coin was struck in 1993, not during the Soviet era: http://www.cbr.ru/eng/bank-notes_coins/Bas...t_num=5009-0007
Antikvarius
Here you can find all copernickle ones - http://coins.alfaspace.net/indexRUS.html Sorry, the reference is in Russian, but you steel can open each coin to see what it is. For some reason there are no any of "Olimpic games in Barselona" series. There were 6 one rouble coins.
tqc2002
Thanks gxseries and Antikvarius you have helped me alot something still puzzles me, the list on the site ended at 1991 with this coin: http://worldcoingallery.com/countries/img8/hr/149-284.jpg and there are more coins that were structed at 1992 and they were not on the list: http://worldcoingallery.com/countries/img11/hr/149-305.jpg and also http://worldcoingallery.com/countries/img12/hr/149-320.jpg. the series ended at 1991 and not 1992 is that right? 1992 is not a soviet era? I know that 1993 is not and that is why I have been told about the last coin that it is not as the others, But what about these two? Maybe I'm confused about nothing but I would be glad to know more about those 3 coins of 1 Rouble that were structed during 1992-3. Thanks for helping me with my questions TQ

Antikvarius
Sorry! Novodel is overstrucked coin made by same stamps as a regular one. Usually it is made for collectors usage.

fisjon
I have a 1 rouble 1965 anniversary WWll Victory coin. It was brought back from Russia in 1966 by my wife when she was on holiday. The coin is not worn at all and it has a holder fitted (very loosly) so it can be worn on a necklace. It has been in a box covered in soft tissue for the last 43 years. Any offers? one-kuna
Maybe I'm confused about nothing but I would be glad to know more about those 3 coins of 1 Rouble that were structed during 1992-3. Thanks for helping me with my questions TQ The Soviet Union collapsed in 1991; coins had the CCCP arm. So after that all coins including a coin what you questioning and others rubles were struck under Russian Federation arm, which is a double eagle. Those commemorative coins copper-nickel 1965-1991 were issued in amount of few dozen on different occasions. After 1991 - few. Novodels - I think it was back to 1988 when Soviet Government decided to strike I believe 18 copper-nickel coins with mintage 55000 (today a complete set - rare). They look same as 1965-1988 issues but on its edge along with a legend they had letter "H". So no more copper-nickel commemorative novodels were struck after. The 1965-1991 series is a very easy to collect. Needs to look forward what to collect after one day you complete this series. Good Luck

The insciption on the edge marks the day of the end of the war, "May 9th 1965" and also says "One Rouble" in Russian. There's also a 30th anniversary (1975 rouble) coin and 40th anniversary (1985 rouble ) coins that were released, their images are different. Tou can see a picture of it here when you scroll to the bottom of the page. Also, wikipedia has a good photo of it here.
