Sure, some politicians at the member state level are quick when it comes to blaming the EU for issues they could have addressed themselves but did not (or not successfully so). But that attitude is not limited to the common currency. And yes, the ECB cannot simply lower the interest rates - its primary goal is an anti-inflation policy while the US Fed has a wider scope. (Side note: When the NYT/IHT writes that "Cracks Emerge in Fiscal Union", what fiscal union might it refer to? Euroland does not have one.) But maybe this should be discussed elsewhere ... I haven't looked at all your designs yet, but I think you have captured the lovely and gracious Princess in a regal manner. It seems to me if there were a way to get your coins produced they could form a fantastic new field of collecting all on their own. Your artwork is as collectible as that of any artist who might paint or sculpt raw materials into beautiful objects for all to enjoy, and maybe own. Many coins from many nations are produced specifically for collecting. Your coins and designs should be among them. If I could afford to do so I would certainly help you with the financial backing you might need to begin that part of the process. At the very least I think a nice full color book of your designs would be a wonderful addition to what we yanks call a 'coffee table decoration'. Similar to having books of interesting photography on display so we or our guests could enjoy them.
