superbeast1098
Great notes. Wonderful addition to any collection. That reminds me..... One of my co-workers is from Romania, and is going there in a couple of weeks. I might see if she will pick up a few of those notes for me........ banivechi
Tip: the first two digits from serial number is the year of issue: 05 for 2005 (none of these notes are from 2005), 06 for 2006 and 07 for 2007. 1'th July 2005 printed on notes is the date of denomination (then Romania was cut four zeroes from money numerals: 10,000 old lei became 1 new leu). Others notes in circulation are 100 lei, 200 lei and the largest: 500 lei (equiv. of 150 euro or 220$). Of course, all of these are polymers.
