Decimal Aussie coins found in circulation

Very nice GX. It is an interesting comparison to how Britain changed over on D-Day in 1971, in comparing the Australian switchover with new dollars and cents, to Britain going over to new pence, I think psychologically the Australian switchover might have been easier, because there was no confusion with new and old pence, since the money was not similar in popular vernacular.

Is it possible to ever find pre-decimal coins in circulation? Or did they all disappear because they were silver? In Britain it was possible to get shillings and florins in change up until the early to mid 1990's when the 5p and 10p were reduced in size.

Hi RD,

Sorry to be a pain or show my ignorance but:

Would you please explain 'lol nice vid tnx' for me.

I'm over 60 years old, but don't worry that I might not understand.

I catch on pretty quick.

regards Bob.
