akdrv Posted July 14, 2007 Report Share Posted July 14, 2007 In 2007, three commemorative coins of the National Bank of Belarus became prizewinners at various international numismatic contests, BelTA learnt in the information department of the National Bank. The commemorative coin “Vialikdzen” (Easter) won the nomination “Coin with the best artistic styling” (artist – Svetlana Zaskevich) at the prestigious contest organized by the US Publishing House “Krause Publications”. This year, taking part in that contest were 34 countries. They presented 77 coins. The contest included 10 nominations. In 2007, the National Bank of Belarus took part in the international contest held in the Italian town of Vicenza. This significant numismatic contest rewards the most beautiful coins issued by mints or state organizations. This year, 16 countries presented 39 coins.
