I have not seen many of these around lately :

Is the price about right? I remember 5-6 years ago they went 4-5 times cheaper. Any thoughts?

Yours,

If memory serves correctly the cost of the 1793 EM Paulian overstrike piatak was in the range

of $50 to $75 in the 1990s. With today’s ever-increasing prices I have no idea of the current value.

Bob, thanks for your reply. What do you think about this particular coin?

One of the world dealers had 4 or 5 pieces of 1793 overstrike on January NY show for $90-120 a piece. At the end of the show he still had it all. $120 coin was truly nice for overstrike with lots of details of undercoin visible including the date. On recent Baltimore show 2-3 days ago I saw couple of pieces priced at $200 or so.
