bobh
One of the world's truly amazing coins! Wonder why they didn't slab this one? http://cgi.liveauctions.ebay.com/3783-3783...110887444QQrdZ1 Looks like it may have been cleaned, too!
banivechi
Wonder why they didn't slab this one? Maybe because they will put it into a 2X2?
grivna1726
Wonder why they didn't slab this one? http://cgi.liveauctions.ebay.com/3783-3783...110887444QQrdZ1 Looks like it may have been cleaned, too! Maybe no-one told Hesselgesser or the Detroit Museum that if it isn't slabbed, then it isn't worth owning. I don't have the heart to tell the curators of the numismatic divisions of the Hermitage and the Smithsonian the sad news about their holdings. Neat copy, and a lot more affordable than the real thing. Just wish I was so sure it could be shipped out of Russia, it is a bit big and you KNOW customs will look at it. It would be a neat little paper weight for my desk.

grivna1726
BTW, the one at Goldberg's auction sold cheap (considering). In relative terms, yes, it did go cheap. Isn't it strange that a $39,000 coin could be considered "cheap"?
