Phoenix21
went to the bank yesterday, and got 4 rolls of nickels. I look through the first 2 rolls, and find nothing, which started to dissapoint me lol. But then I get to the third roll, and I find an okay 1983 canadian nickel. Not much, but okay. Then comes the third roll. I find a 57 D nickel in VF-XF condition I would say (not good at grading nickels, will post pics later) then I also find a 1941 S nickel! I got excited with it. The cool part about it I would grade it atleast F condition, which I would say is good for a nickel that is over 60 years old and traveled across the country. So I thought I'd share. Thanks for reading! Phoenix
slowly but surely
Nicely done! I always like a good roll find story. Just last week I was going through some nickels myself. I found a Liberty Head! It was the oldest coin I've ever pulled out of circulation. The last two years of the date were worn off, so all I know is it's from the early 1900s. I'll just keep on thinking it's a 1913 ; )
Phoenix21
Thanks! And nice find yourself! Oldest coin I ever pulled out of circ. was a 1909 lincoln cent (one problem with it though, there is no S or a VDB on it! lol, j/k) But that is my oldest. Do you have pics of it? Thanks for replying. Topher
20 rolls of pennies and 10 rolls of nickels tonight. In addition to the usual Lincolns, Jeffersons and early QEIIs, I found 22 wheats, 2 Geo VI pennies, 1 Geo VI nickel, a 1953 chromium-plated nickel (I tend to find these every 10-20 rolls), but I'm pretty sure I scored a 1985 pointed 5 penny in there. Only 10k pennies until I managed to find one of them!

Phoenix 8) Here's the Liberty Nickel I found... I think (this is my first try with using an image in a post). This was the first time I tried scanning a coin and the results aren't too stellar. In person you can clearly see the 19 to start the date. But you get the idea. And thanks for asking, it's a good excuse for me to figure out how to do this. BigCanadianM
Well, I got my first 2007 quarter today in a roll-the Curling one. Filled some holes and replaced quite a few other coins too!
Art
At the bank today I managed to get a roll of halfs. Disappointing. All nice condition, I'd say XF/AU. 1971 - 5 1971D - 1 1972 - 2 1972D - 1 1974 - 4 1974D - 1 1976D - 1 1977D - 1 1982P - 1 1984P - 1 1988P - 1 1990P -
