This coin is from his 21st year as sultan. 1839+21 = 1860. The coin is worth 40 Para and was minted in Kostantiniyye (now Istanbul. You can see the two b like letters on the right of the 40. I figure back in that era, 10 centimes is worth a good deal more than now. And with coin errors not being exciting or at premiums, it'd be better to spend it than to save it.
