akdrv
Yerington officials and members of the Centennial Committee will trek to Carson City on Wednesday, March 14 for the official minting of the special silver (99.9%) and gold-plated commemorative coins which will mark the City's 100th anniversary of incorporation. Following the minting ceremony, the group will journey to the Nevada Legislative Building for special proclamation proceedings in the Nevada Assembly led by Assemblyman Tom Grady and in the Nevada Senate led by Mark Amodei and Mike McGuinness. The Carson City Mint at the Nevada State Museum will be the site for the coining operation off the historic coin press. Coins will feature the historic "cc" mint mark with the City of Yerington logo on one side and the State of Nevada shield on the other. http://news.rgj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?...230337/1038/MVN
