Folks with lots of change come along and put the change into the machine which spits out something in return. I've heard they do gift cards, straight cash, or usually receipts to use at the store. (with a small fee taken off of course). Well, the machine doesn't always get fed coins, so it puts the rejects in a bin below. That's where this thread gets its source.
