Maybe Goetz figured out a way to trap a living person inside the medal. Yeah, this one still blows me out of the water each time I pull it out to look at it. It's one of the finer overall examples of Goetz' work I have in my collection. The total presence of the piece (subject matter, casting execution, patination) all come together on this example.
