belg_jos
Do you guys have any idea what this is? It is very small (under 10mm) Thanks Jos
Scottishmoney
This refers to Prince Albert, the Prince Consort of Queen Victoria, they were married in 1840, and he died in 1861. Most likely this was made just after their marriage in 1840. During that era in Britain there were lots of miniature medals and coin models made, so this is not out of place being so diminutive. belg_jos
Any idea if this still represents a certain value today? Thanks for the information so far! Jos
Scottishmoney
I would like to say it is pretty scarce, but I am afraid that even in Victorian Britain they were cranking out Royal memorabilia at about the same pace they are today. At the time this probably sold for no more than 1d or a penny. Now I believe it would be worth about €5 or so.
