oofbat
I have a number of 1977 25 pence Silver Jubilee commemorative coins which belonged to my late father. I Understand these were issed both as silver coins and cupronikel. How do I tell if the coins are silver or not? Further, what's the best way of trying to sell a coin collection - would it be through an auction site such as Ebay or through a dealer? I haven't got a clue where to start!! Thanks. ccg
Generally speaking, if you have a number of them, they are likely the copper-nickel regular issues. The silver ones are specially struck and would come in a cansule and case, which would rarely be discarded.
