Guest Aidan Work Posted January 27, 2007 Report Share Posted January 27, 2007 Here's a discussion that will interest the banknote collectors.It is about the famous Swakopmund Bookshop (Swakopmunder Buchhandlung) emergency banknotes that were issued in 1916-18 in South West Africa under South African administration,even though these notes are denominated in Pfennigs & Marks.Therefore,for this reason,they are classed as being genuine British Commonwealth banknote issues.
