syzygy
I have a mint condition 1939 penny. Is it worth anything other than $.01?? Yes, it's worth more than $.01 if it is mint. But, there are several grades within the category of 'mint' and that can make the difference between $1 or many $1s - you have a good pic?
just carl
I have a mint condition 1939 penny. Is it worth anything other than $.01?? First of all as already noted there are numerous different grades (conditions) of coins to figure into an answer. Also, if you are not aware of mint marks, look to see if there is a letter under the date. Such as D or S. These represent different mints where coins are made. This also makes a difference in the value of your coin. If you don't want to spend to much time trying to find out, go to the PCGS web site and look up the coin values. It will be a very inflated price, but it will give you an idea. If not there, try Millersmint.
