littlevinny7
Can anyone help me determine the value and time period of an error coin of mine? It's just a penny that wasn't printed on either side. Totally blank. Thanks!
Mark Stilson
More then likely no help on a date. If you know someone who does metal testing they may be able to do a non-destructive test and get composition. This could at least tell you a little bit. As to worth right now on ebay there are 10 zinc/copper cents buy now for $9.95 + shipping.
Scottishmoney
They are actually a bit more common than most people imagine. My Grandmother got one in change a few years ago and saved it for me. It seems to have seen moderate circulation, apparently cents just really don't get looked at closely like other coins, which explains why I am still getting wheat backs in coin searches dated as early as 1910. Art
Cent planchetts are very available and about worthless. The mint often gives them out at Coin Shows and YN functions of all kinds.
