tabbs
Guess that "stateside" means he wants to buy from a dealer in the US. The "Royal Scandinavian Mint" http://www.scandmint.com/ , a dealer/distributor (yes, the name is somewhat misleading) in Utah, has a couple of Portuguese euro coins. In North America http://www.eurocollections.com/ would be another option, but they are in Canada. Both tend to sell the more expensive issues (collector coins, proof pieces), not so much the plain regular circulation coins ... Christian

josemartins
...The "Royal Scandinavian Mint" http://www.scandmint.com/ ... Wow, the only Portuguese silver coin that is "sold out" at that site is: LINK Maybe those "Churchill crown" hoarders have finally found another target... ...and Dan, i know you prefer to buy within the US, but feel free to ask me if you want some particular coin from Portugal (Euro or otherwise) and i'll send you a price estimate, even if you don't want to buy from abroad at least you get the idea of local value/prices. Scottishmoney
Good grief Charley Brown, this thing is worse than the German TV commemorative for lack of original design.

Christian Nah, we like Henry (after all there is the 1960 coin series...) it's a engraver problem, this is one of João Cutileiro weird "things", here's another one: The "Sardine coin" Jose

Jose Only because I dont want to wait for my purchases. Am I wrong in thinking shipping may take a few weeks from Europe? Otherwise I'm all for it, the prices seems better. Scottishmoney
Lets see, I have gotten shipments from Sir Sisu and Josemartins a lot quicker than I have gotten most domestic mail. Sir Sisu sent a letter last year with some coins, and I got it two days later.
josemartins
Gees, with the lovely weather and all the Iberian women, they cannot come up with prettier designs for coins now? I think "Iberian women" is part of the problem, he's known for his female sculptures: Link(EN) Link(PT) Dan, the usual is 5/6 workdays, altough to some US states it will take twice as much (always the same ones and i don't have any idea why that happens), on the other hand, i'm not a dealer and it could take a couple of weeks to obtain the coin(s) but i can get the Portuguese Euro coins for face + shipping (except the 1/4 Euro gold, of course), if you think i can help fell free to ask.
