OTTAWA, Jan. 5 /CNW Telbec/ - The Royal Canadian Mint (RCM) today issued

six new collector coins and five new painted commemorative 25-cent coins to

usher in 2007 with a selection of alluring numismatic and gift products. To

respond to coin collector demand for exclusivity, craftsmanship and unique

designs, the RCM is continuing its shinplaster and historical commerce series

and releasing bold new designs for its silver dollar, proof set, specimen set

and gold coins. The unique painted 25-cent coins are presented as the

signature piece of a circulation coin proof set, available in five distinct

themes. The RCM expects sales of these products will surpass 2006 results,

where 13 separate products sold out in under a year.
