The coin has been struck more then once and prob many times.. you can see the reeding around some parts of the edge which means it was struck in the collar at one point. LostDutchman Posted December 29, 2006 Author Report Share Posted December 29, 2006 I think so too... from looking at the coin and the pictures... you can see on the brockaged side where it looks like the outline of the shape of the die in the center of the coin... this would make me suspect that it stuck to the die for a bit therefore making it a die cap.
