florin error?

Recommended Posts

Hi All, I have attached a picture of a UK 1955 florin (two shillings) which I own.

It has some damage at the top of the picture which looks to my eye as if the edge markings have gone over the top of something else, some other damage. I would be grateful for any opinions.

Even if you think that this is after mint damage, I would like to know how you think it could have happened.

Many thanks,

spirospero

hmm... I couldn't tell you. Hopefully someone will have a response to enlighten us both soon.

Welcome to CP. Check out the Error Reference Guide by Matt Dinger (the Lostdutchman) to see if there is an answer there.
