belg_jos
Is this worth keeping aside? Thanks in advance Jos
Art
Absolutely. Even though they're marked up they'd be acceptable collection pieces for many collectors.

Well, I saw them in the other items of a seller after buying a coin, so I bought these too. They looked interesting and I didn't find anything on the web about this 'variety' (if you can call it that) Regards, Jos
BiggAndyy
More examples of Early Die State and Late Die State. Dies don't last forever and as they wear the lettering can get wider and more "sloppy". That is what it appears to be with those two coins. Nice to see them side by side for comparison. Thanks for the reply. That would be the most logical explanation. The legends are a tiny bit differently placed. The space between the WE and the hair of Abe is quite different. But I guess that could be related to a different die. It would be very coincidental, that these two where made of the same dies.
