BUSTHALF
Can anyone help me with how to get rid of the white blotchy areas on proof and silver proof coins that have been in a Dansco album for about 4-5 years. Also the finger prints that were left when they were placed in the album.
Scottishmoney
Damage to a coin once done cannot be undone without more damage. Only cure is prevention.
gxseries
If it's there for 4-5 years, I doubt you can do much to it since the damage is there. Silver proof coins especially are much more prone to fingerprints so there is nothing much you can do. You might want to try using acetone but don't expect too much from it. AuldFartte
Are the spots milky looking? If so, they can be removed with Jewelustre (dip), but if you've never used it before I would NOT recommend it. Fingerprints, however, are probably there permanently now. Welcome to CoinPeople !!!
