Hello everyone

I Started to collect russian coins a few years ago. My type coin collection is organized in eight groups. (I started from the year 1809 because Finland became part of Russia that year):

I First type wings up 1809-10: Rouble, Poltina, 25K, 10K

II Second type wings up: Rouble, Poltina, 20K, 10K, 5K

III Wings Down type: Rouble, Poltina, 25K, 20K, 10K, 5K

IV Third type Wings Up: Same

V: Fourth type Wings Up: Same

VI: 1859- type: Same

VII: Alexander III type: Rouble, Poltina, 25K

VIII: Nikolai II Type: Same

IX: Minors of AII,AIII and NII: 20K, 15K, 10K, 5K.

I have tried to get these coins in good grades (AU or better; a few of these is still missing). Prices of minor values are still quite affordable (more or less).

Keep up collecting!

Janne

Hello and welcome to coinpeople!

I hope for your sake that you don't have any counterfeited coins! There are many at the moment and more is to appear because of the high prices buyers are willing to pay at the moment.

Perhaps it would be nice if you can share your pictures :ninja: A fair amount of us do share our pictures at omnicoin.com and it is a free account.

Once again, welcome to coinpeople!

Very nice!!! For some reason, is anyone seeing that 5 kopek coin as a C|/|b instead of C||b? ;)

I believe it is the latter and not the former. I enlarged the image and it seems like the bar is solid on top. Perhaps it is a die break, dirt, scratch, something else? :ninja:
