Dave
Thanks De Orc! You've gone into the Slavic notes I see. You should see about talking with Kuhli, AKA SlavicScott. He was specializing in these a while ago and was full of information about them. They are a pretty neat set to build, with some of the overprints rather hard to get. Then, today I stumbled upon one of those Cheerios pennies (Cent for the language cops) in some muddy, trashy field. I picked it up and washed it off. The back is only paper, so it's kinda water damaged and stained. Too bad it wasn't one of those Cheerios Dollars! Sadly, this is about the best thing I've found since I was a kid, when I found a $20. That was a long time ago.

Dave
Well, I finally got one of the Must Have's of US Banknotes today: The Black Eagle $1 Silver Certificate. I'm pretty happy with it. It was graded UNC 62 in it's holder by a TPG. I've left it in the holder for now - don' tknow if I'll take it out or not.

thedeadpoint
That's next in line for my $1 silver cert. series. If I see a nice black eagle, I'll take it before I get the super-keys I have left for the later notes.
Dave
Hah, dang. I think you got one better than mine! http://www.coinpeople.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=296548 Hmmm. I don' tknow. Your's looks pretty darn nice, there Vfox! That's next in line for my $1 silver cert. series. If I see a nice black eagle, I'll take it before I get the super-keys I have left for the later notes. If you plan on getting one, I say go for it. They're not rare, but they are something that is pretty much a staple for a US set. I wish I'd have got it earlier. It's a classic.... though I do like the 1918 US Note better - that flying eagle on the back is a great vignette!
