Grifter
I like those notes you have from Netherlands. Probably some of the most colorful notes I've ever seen.

MisterMcDoo
Nice purchase, Brett... but you missed the lowest denomination for Belarus. It's my favorite, it has a squirrel on it. How neat is that?

captaincoffee
Oooooh...I've always wanted to have a few of those "reb" notes. I've got some civil war notes from the good side. Seems like the folks that collect confederate currency must really like it because the prices seem to be awfully high. If you know of a good place to get them, let us know. San_Miguel98
oddly enough, i purchased my reb notes from a yankee dealer in boston! (denlys.com) you can save quite a bit by taking notes with "minor" imperfections...the twenty i bought is cut-cancelled, and the fifty was cut improperly near the top. besides that, the notes were more or less perfect, and they both cost less than the "problem-free" ten dollar note that isn't as bright. Burks
Those Confederate notes are awesome. I've always wanted to get at least one example.
jtryka
I have an old Canal Bank $20, and a North Carolina $2 which are as close as I have to confederate money. My latest purchase was 4 old $20 bills, series 1950, 1950 A and two 1950 B. I will likely place the duplicates up in the auction forum this weekend. elverno
1796 - 25 Francs Mandat Territoriale Link These were huge and were backed by confiscated church and emigre lands. Supposedly you could trade a pile of these in on some of that land and in fact rich people bought up property with these notes. For those who didn't have that much money they were just another form of assignat, rapidly depreciating until they were virtually worthless. If you look closely you can see this is a Series 1 note. They released hundreds of series with 50-100,000 notes in each series.
