  1. Man, I love stalking threads like this. Haha. How ya'll doing? Once I figure out to post from my phone I'll add something.
  2. And here are the others. This is a series of laddered repeaters. A rather odd series of notes. Asking $20.00 for the set. This lot is just a bunch of odd numbers that are almost repeaters, haha. Hey it's a bunch of nice 2006 notes anyway. Asking $13.00 shipped. Here is a pair of repeaters. Not the best shape but still nice. Asking $8.00 shipped. Last set of these. A nice pair of repeaters from similar packs. A nice pair, interesting combo. Asking $15.00 shipped Lastly are some old red seals and whatnot. Asking $35.00 shipped
  3. I have a few things I'd like to clear out for the upcoming holiday season. Here I have some repeaters and fancy serial numbered banknotes. All are xf-unc except the older red seals. You guys can judge their grade, I'm not perfect with currency. This first pack of 100 consecutive star notes also includes a repeater in the pack. Asking $165.00 shipped for this pack. Regular consecutive 100 star notes, asking $155.00 shipped. Next is a set of 4 repeaters. The one in the bottom left has a little crinkled look, it must have taken a trip in someone's wallet. Asking $20.00 shipped. Next is a pair of fancy numbers, one a mirror the other a fancy pseudo repeater, just a neat pair. Asking $15.00 shipped.
  4. I've been thinking about it honestly. Not sure what to do this time around though. I may not do the online fox hunt but ill try to figure out something that will go with my fox theme. Not to get too far off topic mind you.
  5. Haha, yep. I still exist. I don't lurk as much but I'm still an out and out coin junkie.
  6. It's been about five years running now hasn't it? We can't let this thread go just yet.
  7. Just popping in. So close to the 1400's guys, don't let it die!
  8. I'm glad to see every time I venture back to the internet I see this thread advancing more and more. Keep it up guys. I've been out since 1580 so I can only sit back and enjoy.
  9. Man, to think this thread is actually approaching the 500 year mark! It's a fantastic show of devotion and dedication by our fellow numismatists. It's too bad I don't have anything further to contribute; but let's keep this alive!
  10. It's been quite a while since I've posted but last night was something worth noting. I got seven silver dimes from a till last night. Definite album toning, but nothing too special about them otherwise; all roseys. But hey, $0.70 face in silver at face is something I'm stoked about.
  11. Fair enough, it is your choice after all. I would like to ask however; what made you decide to collect them in the first place? As in...what was the spark?
  12. I agree with Dave DF, don't let the "pokémon syndrome" stop you from collecting. You may have one from each country but you are very far from getting everything available. Specialize my friend, specialize.
  13. Congrats DF! Now all you need to do is expand to old/new/specialized currency collecting and the hunt will never be over.
  14. A 1964 Rosie and a 1937 wheatie in AU tonight. I normally don't save the wheaties unless they are from the 30's or before anymore...loads of 40-58's still floatin around out there...but then again I have access to 20$ worth in pennies each day...
  15. Were you at the 2009 SNAG convention? You sound familiar.
  16. The problem is the cost of making the precious metal version of this...mokume-gane is a pain in the butt. It's sadly machine made for the most part today but it would probably cost more than a depleted uranium coin, haha.
  17. I'm still waiting on the French ones but I have several English and American documents I still need to scan. Once the French ones arrive I will try and remember to post them.
  18. Oi, I haven't bought much in the way of currency lately. I've been buying medieval to late American colonial documents though. I just got several French legal notations from the 1600's and an post-incunable leaf/single folio from The New Digest for/of Justinian from 1525. Not currency, but paper/vellum and fun.
  19. The guy and the owl have the same expression. Kinda creepy.
  20. Yep, gatta do something over the summer right? I didn't find anything worthwhile today but I did see two of my students.
  21. I got a 1928-P Buffalo nickel in change yesterday. You can barely make out the date but the flat part of the 2 and left side of the 8 are still visible. Unless it's an upside down seven and a backwards 3 obviously.
  22. Very nice set Dave, I'd have certainly been worried if I had seen the inspection tape as well. I guess they couldn't figure out the country and said "eh, whatever, it's probably worth like $0.14."
  23. Nice, I found a '34 ten the other night too.
  24. I got a 1946 Dime in change today. And last week I picked a 64 quarter out of a cash till.
