More than half a year had passed since my last post. A lot of bugs and mistakes are now fixed, and some new chronological systems have been added. Now there are 21 of them, instead of 16 in the beginning.
The new system released yesterday is: Chinese empire, machine-struck coins of Chinese provinces. Chinese have been using cyclical calendar to name the years, and inscription for each year consists of the 2 Chinese characters. Here's the link: http://apps.creounity.com/time_machine/en/index.php?go=china.php.
You'll see there a table with a number of features. To find a Gregorian year in the table, enter it into a quick search field. If you click on a year-link, you'll see how the characters of the date look like on a real coin.
When your mouse pointer is over the cells with the years, appropriate cells with Chinese characters are highlighted. Some browsers, like Internet Explorer and Firefox, fail to support that, so I recommend you to use Google Chrome (Safari and Opera also work well).
So, Chinese coin collectors, please try that year defining tool and let me know if something goes wrong. Thank you!
