  1. YeOldeCollector That is one awesome coin and anybody would be proud to own it. I have gone that far back looking so maybe I should start as I'm only looking from about 1790 to 1970.
  2. I also see that you branched out to coins from France - nice as you said in one of my posts that you only collect USA coins
  3. I'm putting together a type set of Great Britain coins and it seems that there are just no 4 pence coins for sale on Ebay except the 1848 type coins. Is it just me or have others found this to. Are there other good sources for these coins or are they just plain nearly impossible to get. I'm wondering if I should drop them from the set other then the nice 1848 that I already have. Thanks
  4. Nice looking Half Crown and I'm finding Edward VII coins hard to find and pricy when I do find them.
  5. I'm up to 74.3% complete sort of and the reason for the sort of is I have yet to get my 1800's book to see if there are type coins I missed and that I have to add to the spread sheet. I be slowing down some because this is getting fairly expensive quick and it is also really time consuming so the rest will be aquired at a slower pace. I have been really comparing coins of each type and trying to buy the best I feel I can afford and of course some are really hard to find. That's sort of the fun of it though and what keeps me going. The funny thing is about 1/2 of what I bought is still in route to me so as my girlfriend says everyday is Christmas to me when the mailman arrives. HaHa I've only had one coin not show up and it's an 1999 American Eagle NGC MS69 and the last one to bring that set up to date. I filed a dispute with Ebay because the guy wouldn't respond to my emails so I guess I'll see how the buyers protection works.
  6. There are some fantastic looking coins up here and it makes me want to try to get some eariler coins as my British set starts at about 1800. I'm trying to put together a type set from 1800 to 1970.
  7. Great looking group of coins and I love silver coins as well. I have 4 of the Mother Terrasia (sp) coins two and two are proofs and two are mint state. I love the looks of that coin.
  8. Fantastic coins and paper money and I love that walker
  9. Great looking Walking Liberty Half and it looks like it has a monster strike. In my humble opinion I think Walkers followed by the Mercury Dime an the Buffalo Nickel are our countries best coin designs. I like Morgan Dollars and the Barber series and I have a small group of each of them. I think if the Mercury dime was placed on a fifty cent coin it would be great but still have a somewhat weak reverse. The Walking Liberty has it all in terms of looks on both the obverse and reverse. Killer looking Walker
  10. Funny, I just bought the 1922 version of this coin today and it isn't that hard to figre out why it's my new favorite coin.
  11. Congratulations on the really great looking aquisitions.
