Ladies from Kilenyi medals. Distinctive style had given cause for reasons to think about real author ‘New York World's Fair Special Award of Merit Plaquette’ (1940).

Somebody something to knows about Kilenyi medals of Argentina period?
-
What your favorite medals from J.Kilenyi?

One from a few very worthy medalists, who did not participate in issues of Society of Medalists, was Julio Kilenyi. I agree with opinion that Kilenyi produced many 'commercial' medals without 'art-soul'. But... Look self.

For compares with obverse 'Philadelphia Carpet Co. Bronze Medal' (1946). U.S. Fidelity & Guaranty Company 50th Anniversary Medal by Jonathan M. Swanson (1946).

I.e. we may with probability approximately 99 percent declare authorship of reverse 'Dolphin Jute Mills 85th Anniversary Medal' for A. de Francisci. But, I see, it nobody interesting.

I'm confused by one moment. Very sharp waves around edge on obverse. I don't know where else on his medals we may see it. For me seem similar a dolphins and shell from first medal with same parts from A.A. Weinman 1904 Louisiana Purchase Medal.

Good version. But we need remember J.K. in that time worked in Robbins Co. Attleboro. With another side, R. Chambellan made many 'industrial' medals without sign.
-
No signs on edge and on surfaces. Perhaps, private limited issued?

Unfortunately, all records of W&H Co. recognize as lost. But how you think, identically style or not? We may assume one and the same medallist?

Joseph Smith Duncan (05.04.1858-11.05.1950) - President Addressograph Co. (1896-1926).
