  1. One 1958 proof set from my local dealer. A jump back on date makes it at least one proof set from each year 1957 to 2006, but still 4 left to get.
  2. one 2005 proof set, down to 4 proof sets. One 2001 silver eagle one 1988 silver eagle
  3. Well, I miss counted. I actually backed up on proof sets. I missed counting a 1988 proof set I'm going to have to pick up. But this morning at the coin store picked up a 1995 proof set and one duplicate, just because it was the right price. A sealed 1959 proof set. So I'm still at 5 away from having one proof set from each year 1959-2006.
  4. A little step away from proofs sets. One 1964 p and d mint set.
  5. PCGS Guide to Coin Grading and counterfeit detection.
  6. Mail has not made it today, (Expecting a package soon) but from my local coin dealer. One 1959 proof set. One 1991 Proof set. Now 5 away from 1959 to 2006 proofs.

  8. Ya'll are really dangerous for me. Since I've posted and organized my collection. I keep noticing "Hey, just a few more of these" and I'll have this set . Still need the 1895 morgan which may be some time off till I find the right deal. The proofs I can bite off a chunk at a time. I'm not sure whether to work on the large cents or franklins. I'm pretty close on franklins.
  9. To continue on proof sets. 1957 proof set 1992 proof set 1994 proof set 1996 proof set 2000 proof set Down to 7 proof sets to have one from each year from 1960 to 2006.
  10. The nickel and half look outstanding.
  11. Another really should not have picked up coin. I already have a 1879s but a decent upgrade. Just wish it did not have as many bag marks. Did get it for a good price though, so I really can't gripe. Also out of the junk coin bin a cheap 2001 d mint statehood quarter mint set upgrade for my state quarter display folder.
  12. After seeing Tiff's then this one was just sitting there asking to be bought. 1984 Las Angeles olympiad 1992 silver proof set (working on the 90's) 1966 sms set 1967 sms set, with deep? cameo quarter and cameo? nickel. Anybody have opinions on these two? Whether considered deep cameo or cameo?
  13. Another error type coin, my first off center. 2001 cent Been a slow week for me.
  14. Picked up some duplicate proof sets. But the right price. 1962 proof 1964 proof Really nice strikes in these two sets. Then a 1990 proof which brings me the 1988 proof away from completing 1960 to 1990. The dealer is going to bring it next week. Japan 1923 50 sen .720 silver Canada 50 cent .925 silver Robert K. Phelps Worlds second greatest magician. Saw what it said and it was Huh? So what the hey. German 5 Mark commemorative Hans Jakob Christoffel von Grimmelshausen .625 silver Another one of those Huh? moments when I saw the reverse. 1920 France 25 centimes
  15. 1967 Netherlands 1 Gulden (silver?) You would think they would wait until the end of the year before changing.
  16. Got two sets. one for my guitar playing son-in-law when his birthday comes around and one to keep. 2004 Somalia tourist trap guitar one dollar coins
  17. One 1971 U.N Peace coin Getting antsy. I'm waiting on 6 proof sets, which will get me 2 sets away from 1960 to 1990 regular sets.
  18. Something about Barbers, I've always liked.
  19. One 1971 proof set One 1973 proof set One 1974 proof set Which brings proof year set from 1960 to 1974. Three more to finish out the 70's then to start back on the 80's. One blank clad quarter. Too add to my error coins. Some bulk silver halves at silver price 1945 and 1936 walker (Dup dates already on omni) 1948 franklin (Dealer was going to get rid of them for silver anyways.) Hit the foreign bin One 1880 Japanese 2 Sen One 1878 Japanese 1 sen One 1912 Swedish 50 Ore One 1945 Swedish 25 Ore One 1918 French 1 Franc I'll toss some pictures in here later from Omni 2 beginers level Garret Ace 250 metal detectors. We are going to have fun now.
  20. One 1964 proof set. Looking flawless at 50 x 1916 Barber dime vg Nice coin but nice shape.
  21. Late arrival today. 1965 special mint set. It has a real nice toned cent in the set. A gold red color to it.
  22. One 2003 Silver proof set. one roll p and d from the mints "found" 2001 kennedy halves. (Yes, I went ahead and got some.) One 2005 satin finish mint set. This one deserves comment. Recieved in clean, undamaged, original sealed box. So any damage was from mint handling. The satin finish shows off dings ejection marks, and bruises excellently. Finer dings I have not seen on mint sets. I have got to admit they did miss dinging up a couple coins out of the set. On the dime it has a nice small die crack in the hair and a "blob" of metal in it. Takes a 6 x to just start seeing the blob so I'm not really talking very big. Now I'm used to seeing die cracks which are toward the edge or orginate from the outer section of a coin. This is completely inside the hair. At first I did think it was another scratch, but looking at it with a 30x and 60 x its a crack. I'm not going to attempt pictures, since they would not turn out through the cellophane. Also I doubt my camera could pick up this. Needless to say, but I am not thrilled with satin finish. It might be a good idea if the mint took more care with the coins.
  23. I can't spot a Maximilian like this in my book either. The obverse is the same as a 1866 since it does not have the ribbon? below the bust, But the reverse does not match anything.
