  1. I'll do a picture later. But got a 1943 S nickel with a planchet flaw. It has a lamination crack along the the fold of the collar. Two in one planchet flaw and silver.
  2. 1993 Canadian cent from the post office.
  3. 2004 mint set, and a 1881 S Redfield horde silver dollar graded by Paramount as ms 65. Duplicate date but one of the affordable Redfields out there. A lot of the stuff in the picture is the holder. It has not had an easy life.
  4. 1920 Lincoln in vf overall but a small ding on edge.
  5. I was thinking Belly Dancer costume.
  6. Slow and steady. BTW my 1569 and 1584 seem a long way off.
  7. Not a rarity but you don't see them too often, I got a 2004 keel boat nickel today.
  8. Been busy and forgot to put these up. Went to the Bellaire coin show here. Have not looked close at the for vams yet. 1880 S 1881 S old anacs photo holder After talking about these here decided to pick up one. I'm going to have to check if this is from the Colonial Coins I used to go to years back. He has closed down but, I still see the guy every so often. 1899 a missing morgan from my collection And lastly a 1918 cent in a green holder I'm glad web archives archived Sampleslabs evidently they did a lot of the 1918 cents.
  9. Got my 2009 silver proof set today. But it may be going back as a return. Several coins with spots. 2 with marks or scratches. What I saw if someone were looking for just a full 2009 silver pr69 set they may have problems. The half dollar has some kind of mark on it. At present not sure if a planchet flaw or some kind of dig in the metal. Going to take closer looks at all of the in a bit.
  10. I never give up looking. Honestly I have looked in to the eyes of hundreds of 1878 morgans.
  11. Here is the third store token P.H. Luecke Drugs & etc. Giddings, Texas Good for 5 cents in merchandise Store token BTW if anyone else is interested or has any store tokens check out Richard's Token Database. He has a U.S. and foreign section.
  12. Picked up 3 Texas store tokens I have not researched them yet. Not very many store tokens from Wesley Texas. At least that I know of. A. BORMANN, GEN. MDSE. WESLEY, TEX. Good For 10ยข In Trade Joekel & Williams in Giddings Texas good for 1$ in mechandise. The third one I have not got a shot if yet. I will post later.
  13. About the same here. I have been looking at some 1600 to 1607's. Got a few dated 1500's.
  14. It may take awhile to keep this thread going, but still do able. The early 1500's I don't know about though. Omnicoin does not show any 1607's at all.
  15. Just got my 2009 clad proof set in.
  16. There are pictures. Maybe your firewall or something else is blocking omnicoin? (It may think its a third party deal.)
  17. Finger nail polish remover will have other things in it. Use "pure" acetone (As pure as possible, such as found at hardware stores.) It will only affect any organics on the coin. (Oils, grease, etc.) Just use outside with the wind to your back and try to keep from skin contact. Just soak or rinse with it. Don't use anything to scrub or rub with. Any form of rubbing on a coin is the real problem. You can easily turn up with hairline scratches. I have seen a couple examples of modern proofs that were rubbed and the hairlines did show.
  18. A tough in higher grades 1886-S VAM-2 S/S Repunched Mint Mark and one of the the morgans I have needed. This coin is a Top 100 Morgan VAM 2 III2 1 C3b (S/S) (187) I-2 R-4 Obverse III2 1 - Some specimens have die chips in 6 all across opening f top loop and in the upper part of the lower loop. Reverse C3b - Doubled IV S mint mark tilted left with thin vertical line to right of top serif and metal at top left side of bottom serif. 1886-S VAM-2 S/S. The 1886-S VAM-2 has a repunched mintmark. A small portion of the S can be seen in front of the upper right serif as well as through the notched lower serif on the S. This one does have the die chips in the loops of the 6.
  19. Got a deal on as a group of 3 pcgs gh's and a rattler. I have not looked thru them for vams yet. But just a quick look nothing special on that front. 1881 S 1882 S 1885 O 1898 O
  20. A couple slight oddities. A Philadelphia log cabin cent. Our area is served by the Denver mint. So it has traveled pretty good. Unless its a left over from someone ordering them and breaking rolls out local. Next not very much of an oddity considering the normal durability of zinccolns. A log splitter with the copper already peeling off. Slight bubbles under the plating.
  21. This is the kind of thing I would put the "Why we collect." thread. The history behind the coins.
  22. Got my lincoln lp2 rolls today. No pics since they get to stay in the mint box. Edit: Decided to add a picture of the end on the phili roll. Curiosity got the better of me. A ddr-002 showing.
