  2. Greetings all- I just found and joined this forum earlier today. I collect British empire pre-decimal issues, and I'm currently working on my Fiji and New Zealand sets. Krause has two "broken back" shillings listed for New Zealand - 1942 and 1958. How can you tell a "broken back" shilling from a "normal" shilling? Does anyone have a detailed picture they'd be willing to share, or a write-up describing the distinguishing diagnostics to verify if you have one? I'd like to know what I'm looking for so that I can obtain these varieties for my collection. Thanks in advance

  4. Howdy all- I'm new to the forum, have been collecting off an on all my life, at least since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. Just got back into it seriously about 3 years ago, had taken a ~15 year hiatus (got married). I enjoy world coins with a focus on British empire, pre-decimal issues. I'll be posting seeking information regarding some issues that Krause has listed in their catalogues, but there are no pictures to illustrate what differentiates the varieties from the regular issues.
