  1. Hi everyone, I got a US$50 bill dated 1996 with Star suffix in VF-XF grade. The prefix letters are AB. Signatures: Withrow and Rubin. Any rough estimate on its worth? Thanks a lot.
  2. Thanks very much for your help! It appears as if the page is missing in my catalog.
  3. I looked into all Pick catalogues and can't find it. It is unusual to see a "ONE CENT" note. Wonder why is it not in the catalogue, if it's "issued" by THE CENTRAL BANK OF CHINA? Did you find it in the catalogue or some Chinese specialised catalogue perhaps? Or could this be a "novelty/fake"? The person who owns it does not know how to make a bigger scan and won't provide me with a larger scan.
  4. Does anyone know what is this and what the Pick number is? Is this even real? I could not find it in the catalog. http://yfrog.com/5bpholtj
  5. Well, getting paid $1000, $3000, $5000, $10000 a month is not a rip-off while most of the world's people must live on less than $1 a day. A true rip-off is when you can't get paid more than you need to survive and not when you have a choice to not buy. Talking about paying less than the cost as well as paying your employees too little is what destroys a society and an economy.
  6. Serious coin collectors probably will not buy these kind of coins, but those who collect novelty money, they may buy anything that's affordable. It probably takes a lot of $$$ to mint coins like that since they are minted in limited quantities.
  7. Do you think it's a gimmick? I think "lifetime" is a time unit; if you read it carefully you may understand, why it says "one lifetime" on the coin. For instance - a person has lived his entire lifetime well and has died. Another one would be a day or a century. I also think the coin depicts Michael in between of his surgeries, but the nose is kind of wrong; perhaps the mint can't make it perfect on a metal. I've seen uglier coins of MJ.
  8. And in the U.S. they will begin seizing private land and returning it to the American Indians... Regarding coin collections, does the polizei have a right to check everyone's house even if unsure whether they've got collections of over 99 years old at home? Or do they check homes only of those who have been reported and suspected to own stolen collectibles?
  9. What do you folks think about these memorial coins featuring Michael Jackson? http://cgi.ebay.com/Michael-Jackson-King-o...id=p3286.c0.m14 http://cgi.ebay.com/Michael-Jackson-King-o...id=p3286.c0.m14 http://cgi.ebay.com/1OZ-COIN-RARE-silver-C...id=p3286.c0.m14 http://cgi.ebay.com/330-Michael-Jackson-24...id=p3286.c0.m14 http://cgi.ebay.com/350-Michael-Jackson-Si...id=p3286.c0.m14 http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Michael-Jackson-H...id=p3286.c0.m14 http://cgi.ebay.com/OFFICIAL-Michael-Jacks...id=p3286.c0.m14 http://www.banknotes.com/kt9c.htm
  10. I am looking for art students and designers, who would like to earn extra money designing paper currency - banknotes (private issues, collectors items). No experience necessary - I will pay for the results. Contact me via private email or post on this forum with your proposals and portfolio. Long term cooperation is likely.
