  1. 1912-S - one of the few keys of that series. The S is hiding at the bottom left (8 o clock position) on the reverse.

Upon retuning from Portland yesterday, I had an interesting, and disturbing envelope from the USPS. All that was in it is a crinkled, jagged edged scrap of paper with my name and address. It is obviously from an envelope that was sent to me. The back of the USPS envelope say's "WE CARE", and an apology for damaging my mail. The way the paper is crinkled, I think something (a coin)? may have been in the original envelope that got caught in the cancelling machine. I will take it to the PO tomorrow, but I'm sure there is nothing they can do. I will always wonder where this came from though, and what was in it.

  2. Well, I am speechless. I received a very nice, unsolicited, and completley unexpected packed from Bill today. It contained articals that he knows my wife, and myself collected. I am convinced Bill is a genuinly nice person, and I owe you, thanks Bill!

  3. Just returned from a trip to Phoenix to find several nice surprises: a wooden nickel from Art, two "06" nickels from the bunny, several coins I had bought from Harri (will get the money off tomorrow), and a very nice gift 10 euro Karl Schinkel coin from Christian. Thanks to all, it was nice to see these amonst all the junk mail/bills that were in the pile.

  4. The Mozart coin will be available as from Monday (2 Jan). If anybody is interested in getting one, let me know. Problem is that the "uncirculated" coins we can get from the banks here come in rolls - and the Mozart piece has a huge empty area ...

    Christian,

I would be interested in buying one if possible, and thank you for the offer.

  5. As stated in the inclosed note, since I live on the Columbia River, and being a history nut, I got caught up in all of the hype about Lewis and Clark this summer. I ended up with WAY too many of these nickels. I thought I would share with the first two overseas CoinPeople members that came up in my address book :ninja:

    No strings attached.
