  1. hard to tell exactly, I think it is york, no idea whether that mark on the left of the hair should be there for this issue.
  2. I bought this a few weeks back, apparantly found on the isle of man as viking currency, now i know vikings hade trade netwroks going all the way to the arab world and arabic silver was sought after by them, making it a fascinating piece but i want to identify it propely
  3. hard to say, i think it is, but havn't really found any more of this date..
  4. 1762 2 kopeck with the usual design rather then the other design
  5. love that 45, looks almost as if someone was board and just hand wrote the date and MM
  6. happens often, but worn coins have something, a past people have held them, spent them, and i usualy do only buy them when i think it is worth more.
  7. i don't due to location. and i buy this stuff ff ebay, thats the main place to get these russians, as very little comes in at my dealers, picked up 2 in 3 years there (paris 50 kopecks, my 1855 2 kopecks)
  8. no i don't, i'm in the UK, less stuff so price is excessive sometimes.
  9. picked this up ages ago for an amazing £2, note the E.M looks like F..M
  10. dont even have a 3 kopeck, so very nice
  11. makes you wonder where is he getting this stuff
  12. the 4 kopeek has some verderis on the 1 and 7 cant see the obverse properly though
  13. a snip at £11.98, bought it for the great obverse
  14. yea couldn't find much about that type, still dont find many republic coins, so a cheap one is always nice and yes i know about the rouble being fairly common, the simple fact is that coin ended within a day of the one i won, so surprised that one got seen and not the one i won. £5.09 - Henry VII york penny sovereign type - looks dull on photo, the raised areas are far better in light few other dealer bits form the other day £1.50 each also found this for 10p
  15. yea i know, but i like the clearness of that overstrike.
  16. Bombay was used for Australia as well in some cases, perhaps it was easier to get coins to egypt from there at that period
  17. some more arrivals not as much of a bargain as the 10 francs but a scare coin at £3.11 £7.50 £1.65 £2.42 these 3 all same package so £2 postage £1.20, shanxi 1919 20 cash i think
  18. got most of these cheaply. £3.50 the 2, the Lenin Rouble was going for £3 alone and that was excluding the postage price (which i included in my price here) £7.50 for this 2 kopeck, wasn't going to go any higher then that for it anyway but A nice clear overstrike of the previous issue 4 kopeck £1.65. was also a french coin all 3 from same seller so postage on 3 coins was £2. so not added
  19. £3.50 the 2 amazing buy, only 1 day later the rouble was selling for around £3 in the same grade so. £5.95 King John class 5b2 £2
  20. ok havn't updated this thread in a while, but had plenty coming in. and a few tasty bargains to come. i'll add a few more recent arrivals, if anything to get some identification however one of todays. - allprices include the postage price (as i consider that as part of the cost) found in a bag of 10p coins at my dealers alright, got this bunch last week for £12. was also another piece of silver, predates the hallmark system. but not a coin. posibley celtic no idea Alexander III penny Irish shilling 3rd coinage with Marlet mintmark, 1602 these arrived the other day £4.65 - the 3 was part of the reason I put the bid on, as i wanted the 13D
  21. it is a 10 cash of some sort, no idea other then that
  22. so what is the value, as finding information on such a thing is difficult
  23. something going on with the 0 and also something at the sceptre on the obverse.
